Negotiator

Location: Modesto

Busy Personal Injury Law Firm seeks a highly motivated individual for a full-time position in the Negotiations Department of our Modesto office. This is not a remote work position.

This fast-paced position requires 2- 4 years experience in personal injury claims, settlement negotiations, and medical lien resolution. The right candidate should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be mathematically competent, detail oriented, and tech savvy, and able to work well independently and as a team player. Bilingual a plus.

Those working or have worked as an insurance adjuster are encouraged to apply. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Job description:
Plaintiff’s personal injury firm seeks an attorney to handle personal injury cases in our Modesto office. We are looking for someone who has strong people skills, is very organized and detail oriented, is a self-starter, is able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. This position does not involve litigation work.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Tort/PI law.
  • 1+ years of personal injury experience preferred, however we are willing to train.
  • Bilingual Spanish a PLUS!

  • Communicating with clients at least every 30-90 days.
  • Reviewing cases to determine the case value, identifying all potential defendants, determining if there is evidence that needs to be preserved and if any experts and/or investigators should be hired.
  • Determining the general strategy of the case depending on the facts.
  • Reviewing and revising demand packages which would include reviewing and summarizing medical records and other documents.
  • Reviewing and revising drafts of complaints, public entity claim forms, case management conference statements, minors’ compromise petitions, and other documents.
  • Attend court hearings including case management conferences and minors’ compromise hearings.
  • Some supervision of team members.
Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000

This is NOT a remote work position.

This fast-paced position requires knowledge in personal injury and experience in auto claims, health insurances, verifying balances, medical records and billing review, data entry, and answering a high volume of calls. The right candidate should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be mathematically competent, detail oriented, and tech savvy, and able to work well independently and as a team player. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word Perfect is required. Collections experience preferred. Bilingual a plus.
