Transplant surgeon surrenders, accused of speeding up local man’s death

A surgeon, believed to have expedited the death of a man in California, has just turned himself in to local authorities. The surgeon is accused of prescribing excessive amount of drugs to a man whose organs were going to be used for transplantation into candidates who needed emergency transplants.

The surgeon believed responsible for the California wrongful death could face up to 8 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
