KCRA Channel 3 News reports that two California Highway Patrol officers were injured in a Sacramento auto accident.
The Sacramento car accident occurred when their patrol car crashed during a pursuit on Interstate 80. The police car was chasing a vehicle that had been traveling around 90 miles per hour. The police vehicle ran off the road, hit a concrete wall, and then smashed into a light pole.
The light pole was severed following the California auto accident, and landed in the eastbound lane of I-80. Several other vehicles were damaged when the light pole hit the roadway.
The driver and passenger both sustained injuries in the Sacramento auto accident.
