The Modesto Bee reports that an 11-year-old boy was killed in a Modesto car accident on West Orangeburg Avenue.
According to police, it appears the two-vehicle Modesto car accident happened when a BMW spun out of control and was broadsided by a pickup truck. The truck struck the passenger side of the car and came 3 feet into the vehicle, trapping the boy in the car.
Police performed CPR on the child once he was extracted from the vehicle, but his injuries were too severe for him to recover. The child was riding with an extended family member at the time of the accident.
The driver of the car and another child sustained minor injuries.
Do you let your children ride with other people? Do you think the Modesto driver should be held responsible for the child’s death?
