BERG INJURY LAWYERS TO PROVIDE
SAFE AND SOBER FREE CAB RIDE HOME FOR ST. PATRICK’S DAY REVELERS

LOCAL LAW FIRM URGES DRIVERS TO THINK AHEAD AND PLAN TO USE SAFE TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVE

Alameda, Calif.,March 11, 2004 — St. Patrick’s Day is well known for its revelry involving alcohol. Statistically, St. Patrick’s Day now ranks close behind New Year’s Eve in traffic accidents involving drunk drivers. This St. Patrick’s Day, Berg Injury Lawyers will assist in the fight against drunk driving by launching the law firm’s “Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home” program for the residents of Alameda.

Berg Injury Lawyers will team up with Veterans Cab and Yellow Cab of Alameda to provide a free transportation alternative for partygoers. Cab rides are made available within the city of Alameda to area residents, who otherwise, might attempt to drive home after drinking. Rides are provided to an individual’s residence, not other drinking locations. To request a free cab ride home, an individual simply calls Yellow Cab of Alameda or Veterans Cab at (510) 533-1900 and tells them Berg Injury Lawyers is paying for their safe ride home.

Berg Injury Lawyers Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will run from 8 pm–2 am, St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday,March 17, 2004.

Berg Injury Lawyers created the Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program to raise community awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and to encourage individuals to make responsible choices by providing a safe transportation alternative. The program is recognized by the Alameda County chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving in this important endeavor.

“We ask all motorists to accept the responsibility of driving safe and sober this St. Patrick’s Day,” says William Berg, principle of Berg Injury Lawyers. “Plan ahead, if you over indulge, take advantage of our Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program. We believe that drunk driving is no accident and warn that our law firm will aggressively pursue suit against any drunk driver who harms an innocent victim this St. Patrick’s Day or any other day of the year.”

Steve McKaskey, president of the Alameda County chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving says, “ MADD Alameda County recognizes the Berg Injury Lawyers Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program as a means to make our streets safer by giving drunk drivers a safe alternative.”
