2010 Safe & Sober Program

New Year’s Eve 2010
We surpassed 5,000 rides during our Safe and Sober Cab Ride Home program on New Year's Eve! We appreciate the continued support from Veterans Cab in Oakland, Luxor Cab in San Francisco, and Yellow Cab of Sacramento to help make this program successful.

Halloween 2010
We’re happy to report that our law firm was paid for 273 safe rides home on Halloween! Sacramento was added to the program’s lineup and joined Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, and San Francisco to the areas where our Safe and Sober program is available. Thanks to Veterans Cab, Luxor Cab Company, and Yellow Cab Company of Sacramento for their assistance!

Cinco de Mayo 2010
Berg Injury Lawyers joined in the local Cinco de Mayo festivities by offering its Safe and Sober Free Ride Home program for those who didn't have a safe way home. The law firm covered the cost for 488 cab rides home in Alameda, Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco.

St. Patrick's Day 2010
The Safe and Sober program ran from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, and provided 585 safe rides home. Thanks to Veterans Cab and Luxor Cab for their continued assistance with our program!

2009 Safe & Sober Program

Halloween 2009
Halloween is becoming one of the most dangerous nights of the year to be on the road because of drunk drivers. To help reduce these accidents, Berg Injury Lawyers covered the cost for 290 cab rides for those who couldn’t drive or didn’t have a safe way home on Halloween.

St. Patrick’s Day 2009
The St. Patrick’s Day Safe and Sober Free Ride Home Program provided 480 free cab rides for those who didn’t have safe ways home. The program—which has provided a total of 2,554 rides in five years—ran on March 17 from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Cinco de Mayo 2009
Berg Injury Lawyers paid for more than 200 safe rides home for the Cinco de Mayo program. To date, the program has provided more than 2,700 safe rides to local patrons. The next Safe and Sober program will be held on Halloween on Saturday, October 31, 2009.

New Year’s Eve 2009
The Safe and Sober Free Ride Home Program ran New Year’s Eve from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. in Alameda, Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco. Berg Injury Lawyers covered the cost for 487 safe rides home.

2008 Safe & Sober Program

Cinco de Mayo 2008
Berg Injury Lawyers provided 298 free cab rides home during Cinco de Mayo festivities. The program, which began at 3 p.m. on May 5, ran for 12 hours and provided safe rides home for local residents. Rides were provided to an individual’s residence—not to other drinking locations.

St. Patrick’s Day 2008
The Safe and Sober Free Ride Home for St. Patrick’s Day 2008 gave 124 free cab rides home to residents in Alameda, Oakland, and Berkeley. The program ran for 12 hours beginning at 3 p.m. March 17 and offered complimentary cab rides to people who had been drinking or who felt they didn’t have a safe way to get home.

Halloween 2008
The Halloween Safe and Sober program resulted in 303 safe rides home, the highest number of cab rides during one evening the program has seen in its five years of operation. In addition to providing rides home to individuals in Alameda, Oakland, and Berkeley, the program expanded to include San Francisco.

New Year’s Eve 2008
The New Year’s Eve Safe and Sober Free Ride Home Program provided 711 free cab rides for those who didn’t have safe ways home. The program began on December 31 at 10 pm and ran until 4 am on January 1. The firm would like to thank Veterans Cab in Alameda and Luxor Cab in San Francisco for their support of the program.
