DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE THIS HALLOWEEN WEEKEND
LOCAL LAW FIRM OFFERS SAFE TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVE

Berg Injury Lawyers to Provide "Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home"
in Alameda and Oakland

Alameda, Calif., October 26, 2004 - Don't let Halloween festivities turn tragic when Berg Injury Lawyers make it easy to get a free safe and sober ride home. Statistics from the National Highway Safety Administration reveal that on Halloween of 2003, over 66 percent of all highway fatalities were alcohol related. To assist in the fight against drunk driving in Alameda and Oakland this Halloween weekend, Berg Injury Lawyers will again offer the law firm's "Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home" program.

Berg Injury Lawyers will team up with Veterans Cab and Yellow Cab of Alameda to provide a free transportation alternative for Halloween revelers. Cab rides are made available within the cities of Alameda and Oakland to area residents who otherwise might attempt to drive home after drinking. Rides are provided to an individual's residence, not other drinking locations. To request a free cab ride home, an individual can call Yellow Cab of Alameda or Veterans Cab at (800) 281-4488 and tell them Berg Injury Lawyers is paying for their safe and sober ride home.

Halloween falls on a Sunday this year meaning many revelers will celebrate throughout the entire weekend. Therefore, the Berg Injury Lawyers Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available from 5 pm, Saturday, October 30 through midnight, Sunday, October 31, 2004.

Launched in the city of Alameda on St. Patrick's Day 2004 and expanded to include Oakland over Memorial Day weekend and subsequent holidays, Berg Injury Lawyers Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program seeks to raise community awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and to encourage individuals to make responsible choices by providing a safe transportation alternative on many of the traditionally high alcohol consumption holidays. To date in 2004, Berg Injury Lawyers has been successful in reducing the number of alcohol-related deaths and injuries in the cities of Alameda and Oakland by providing over 100 free cab rides home. The program is recognized by the Alameda County chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving in this important community-based endeavor.

"Please don't drink and drive this Halloween weekend. A simple phone call is all it takes to obtain a safe and sober ride home," says William Berg, founder and principal of Berg Injury Lawyers. "We believe that drunk driving is no accident and warn that our law firm will aggressively pursue suit against any drunk driver who harms an innocent victim this Halloween or any other day of the year."
